Dr. Weiru Chen

Weiru Chen is Chief Strategy Officer at Cainiao Network Technology, Alibaba Group. He received his Ph.D. in strategic management at Purdue University in the US, and served as strategy professor at INSEAD and China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS). His research centered at innovation strategy and organizational transformation. He received Teaching Excellence Award at CEIBS, INSEAD, and Purdue University. Dr. Chen published on the world’s leading academic journals and bestseller books on Platform Strategy (2013), and Platformization Transformation (2016), which provides systematic framework for traditional business to incubate new platform business. In 2017, he was selected as one of the “world management thinkers most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led” in the Thinkers50 Radar List.

Prof. Yaochu Jin

Professor Yaochu Jin is a Professor in Computational Intelligence, Department of Computer Science, University of Surrey, United Kingdom. He was a “Finland Distinguished Professor” with the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland, and “Changjiang Distinguished Professor” with the Northeastern University, China. He was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2016 “for contributions to evolutionary optimization”. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE

Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, and the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Complex & Intelligent Systems.

Dr. Ben Shenglin

Before joining Zhejiang University as a full-time professor in May 2014, Dr. Ben served in financial services firms like ABN AMRO, HSBC and lastly JP Morgan Chase as CEO, JP Morgan Chase Bank (China) Co Ltd.
Dr. Ben is well-trusted advisor to public and private organizations. He is Joint Chairman of Zhejiang Association of Internet Finance; Executive Director, International Monetary Institute, Renmin University of China; Counselor to Zhejiang Provincial Government and a member of Standing Committee & Vice Chairman of its Economic Commission of Zhejiang CPPCC. He is also a non- executive board director of leading companies including China International Capital Corporation, Tsingtao Brewery and Bank of Ningbo.

Dr. Shaojun Guo

 Shaojun GUO is Currently an Associate Professor in the Institute of Statistics and Big Data at Renmin University of China. He is Assistant Dean and Director of the Committee on Graduate Studies at Instistute of Statistics and Big Data. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor in Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2008 and also Research Fellow in Department of Statistics at London school of Economics and Political Science from 2014 to 2016.

He completed Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008, advised by Professor Min Chen. From 2009 to 2010 he was a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) at Princeton University, hosted by Professor Jianqing Fan.

Dr. Peng Qi

Peng Qi is an Assistant Professor at College of Electronics and Information Engineering, Tongji University, and also an executive committee member in the Center for Cardiovascular Innovations (CCI). He obtained the Ph.D. degree in Robotics from King’s College London, and then was a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. Dr Qi has been selected Shanghai Sailing Program and the “Chenguang Program”, and involved in some research projects from the EU’s Seventh framework programme, National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He has published more than 30 scientific research papers, which have been cited more than 500 times in total, and the h-index is 10 (Google Scholar). His current research interests include surgical robotics, machine learning, intelligent sensing and interaction, and autonomous intelligent system. Dr Qi is also the representative of China-Britain Artificial Intelligence Association (CBAIA) in China.
