Weiru Chen is Chief Strategy Officer at Cainiao Network Technology, Alibaba Group. He received his Ph.D. in strategic management at Purdue University in the US, and served as strategy professor at INSEAD and China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS). His research centered at innovation strategy and organizational transformation. He received Teaching Excellence Award at CEIBS, INSEAD, and Purdue University. Dr. Chen published on the world’s leading academic journals and bestseller books on Platform Strategy (2013), and Platformization Transformation (2016), which provides systematic framework for traditional business to incubate new platform business. Shaojun GUO is Currently an Associate Professor in the Institute of Statistics and Big Data at Renmin University of China. He is Assistant Dean and Director of the Committee on Graduate Studies at Instistute of Statistics and Big Data. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor in Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2008 and also Research Fellow in Department of Statistics at London school of Economics and Political Science from 2014 to 2016.
He completed Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science at Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2008, advised by Professor Min Chen. From 2009 to 2010 he was a Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) at Princeton University, hosted by Professor Jianqing Fan.
Peng Qi is an Associate Professor at Tongji University, Shanghai, and he received the PhD in Robotics from King’s College London in 2016. Dr Qi is winner of the Shanghai S&T 35U35 and Shanghai Science and Technology Rising-Star Program. Dr Qi has served as Vice-President of Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Talent Association; Secretary General of Tongji University Branch of Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association; Member of Robot Intelligence Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Automation.
Dr Qi’s research interests include medical robotics and intelligent sensing and interaction. He has published over 50 academic papers, and applied/authorized over 100 patents. He has led the research and development of cardiac intervention surgery robot, autonomous venipuncture robot, and the first needle-free vaccine injection robot in China. Dr Qi received the Shanghai Youth May Fourth Medal, Tongji Youth May Fourth Medal, and the gold medal in the Shanghai Industrial Youth Innovation Competition. Dr Qi is also the youth scientist at the Pujiang Innovation Forum, and the related achievements have received attention from multiple media outlets, including CCTV, People’s Daily, Wen Wei Po, Guangming Daily, and MIT Technology Review, etc.
Wang Xuejian, a graduate of the Communication Technology program at Shanghai University, has held positions in several large telecommunications companies in China, specializing in communication and artificial intelligence fields. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director and General Manager of the Sino-British Talent Exchange Development Center, Chairman of Beijing Xingyi Information Technology Co., Ltd., and holds concurrent positions as a council member of the Shandong Province Overseas Exchange Association, Shandong Province Overseas Friendship Association, Vice President of Weifang Overseas Friendship Association, Vice President of Heze Overseas Friendship Association, Executive Director of Yantai Overseas Friendship Association, Honorary Director of Dongying People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Overseas Consultant of Weifang Overseas Chinese Federation, Overseas Commissioner of Zaozhuang Overseas Chinese Federation, and President of the UK Shandong Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, among other social responsibilities.

Dr. Jie Zhang is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Bath. His research, situated at the interface between computer science and economics, lies in the emerging areas of algorithmic game theory, internet economics, blockchain technologies, and multi-agent systems. He analyses agents’ decision-making processes and aligns their incentives with the objectives of a system designer by analytical methods. He has publications in leading journals and peer-reviewed conferences spanning the fields of artificial intelligence, theoretical computer science, and mathematics. Dr. Zhang has been awarded research grants as the sole Investigator by EPSRC and The Leverhulme Trust. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses ranging from algorithm design, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain protocols. He leads a team of two postdoctoral research fellows and two PhD students.
Mr. Wang Zhengzhi, an IP attorney, is the Founding Partner at Beijing Globe-Law Law Firm (Globe-Law), Arbitrator at China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC)/Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC)/World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). He is the Chair of Intellectual Property Committee of All China Lawyers Association (ACLA).
Mr.Wang has published Intellectual Property Rights of China Time-Honored Brands, China’s Intellectual Property Index (publication series, the 11th version has been published). Since 2003, Mr. Wang has hosted Top Ten National IP Case (Copyright of Network Plug Case), Beijing Top 10 IP Protection Case (Case of World Executives’ Trademark and trade name Conflict). Two of his cases have been selected as 50 Classic IP Cases of the Supreme Court of China. He serves as the member of the drafting group of Patent Law Fourth Amendment (in charge of patent administrative protection) , Council member of China Association for Science and Technology and Member of the National Intellectual Property Advisory Board.
A data scientist in cancer research, Dr. Cong Zhou is currently the lead biostatistician in Cancer Biomarker Centre, CRUK Manchester Institute. Before this, he was an assistant professor in biomarker statistics in the University of Manchester.
His work focuses on developing novel statistical and machine learning methods to identify innovative biomarkers that enable personalized cancer therapy: the right treatment to the right patients at the right time. Together with his biological and clinical collaborators, he enjoyed carrying out multi-disciplinary research, designing and running clinical trials as committee members, especially on ovarian cancer and lung cancer. His key stakeholders include research committees such as CRUK and MRC, and leading pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca and Roche. Recently, in the era of pandemic, he teamed up and developed CORONET, an online machine learning platform that recently won NCRI CRN award, to assess COVID-19 risk in cancer patients and to assist clinical decision making on these patients.
Weihua Zheng, Vice President of the Cross-border Division at Tonglian Payment, holds a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Greenwich, UK. He has studied at Lancaster University and King’s College, University of Cambridge, and Peking University Guanghua School of Management. With a long-term role in leading Chinese fintech enterprises, he has been responsible for specific market and management roles. He is an early innovator and practitioner in China’s cross-border payment field, possessing rich experience and industry resources within the fintech sector. Combining his earlier work experience in the Chinese government sector and years of studying in the UK, Mr. Zheng Weihua is currently responsible for facilitating the collaboration between the Sino-British Artificial Intelligence Association and the Shanghai Municipal Government Science and Technology Park.
Kun Song is the CEO of Alimex A/S in Denmark and serves as a board member for multiple enterprises. A former General Manager at Samsung UK Ltd., educated at Imperial College London and Harvard University, he actively promotes AI innovation in industrial manufacturing. Kun Song also holds a BA (Hons) in Photography from Westminster University and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London. Previously, he was a partner at the Zhongguancun Gazelle Investment Fund and a member of the Investment Committee. Over the course of more than 10 years, he has been involved in and responsible for the operational management of three private equity investment funds under the company, with investment cases that include several listed companies. He possesses rich experience in corporate investment, financing, and management consulting. Dr. Huang graduated with a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Imperial College London, UK, on a full scholarship.
