CBAIA Annual Conference:
The Great Gatsby – AI Carve for a High Potential
Leading by Geoffrey Hinton, the father of modern deep learning, Gatsby Unit aims to build realistic and sound models that human brain computes. Since its establishment in 1998, Gatsby has contributed to many advancements in artificial intelligence. This includes incubating many influential AI companies such as DeepMind, Isomorphism Lab etc., as well as designing cutting-edge AI products such as AlphaGo, AlphaZero etc
The China-Britain Artificial Intelligence Association, on the other hand, has become a leading force to unite Chinese and British talents in artificial intelligence and ensure that the future of AI technology is explored to its full extent.
When CBAIA meets Gatsby, a discussion on the potential of AI development and career opportunities emerges naturally.
The CBAIA’s 2022 Annual Conference “A Great Gatsby: AI Carve For A High Potential” is expected to be a whole evening event. The audience would include AI and in general Technology practitioners and research scientists from technology firms, professors, research fellows, postdocs and students from universities across the UK, and investors in Tech industries.
The conference aims to bring together bright minds to give ideas-focused talks on the latest developments in the AI area, such as: Neural Mechanism of human’s understanding of concepts, infrastructure required to improve AI training efficiency, and FLock.io’s system design paper in world’s first AI+blockchain workshop hosted at NeurIPS 2022, to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder and provoke conversation that matter.
It also discusses, under the background of the sluggish global economic prospect, the sharp deterioration of the investment environment in the technology sector, and the reduced budget of headcount for AI engineers in many firms, how do AI practitioners choose their career development direction? Continuing academic research, gaining experience in the industry, or starting a business? Our speakers will generously share their views with the audience.
